Submit an Application
It can take 1-2 days for us to process the application. We will verify with you landlord (if applicable) and your listed veterinarian if you have other pets in your home.
Schedule a Foster Call
We’ll schedule a phone call to go over the fostering process, provide details about your first foster pet, and answer any questions you may have.
Meet Your Foster Pet
Once approved, you’ll meet your foster pet and bring them home.
Provide Care and Love
Shower them with affection while we handle the medical care and provide the supplies you need.

What are the requirements to foster?
Foster parents must be 18 or older, have a stable living situation, and have permission from their landlord if renting.
How long do I keep a foster pet?

Yes! We’ll match you with a pet that fits your lifestyle and experience level.
Who pays for veterinary care?
We do! All vet visits are coordinated and covered by The Xena Project.
