Adoption Process
1. Adoption Application
Prospective adopters start by filling out our adoption application form. This form helps us understand their lifestyle, experience with pets, and preferences for adoption.
2. Application Review
Our team carefully reviews each application for accuracy and suitability based on the needs of the animal and the adopter's circumstances.
3. Schedule Meet and Greet
If the application is approved, we schedule a meet and greet between the adopter and the animal(s) of interest. This allows both parties to get acquainted and determine compatibility.
4. Adoption Decision
After the meet and greet, the adopter has two options:
Adopt on the Spot: If the adopter feels a strong connection and is ready to commit, they can proceed with the adoption paperwork and take their new pet home the same day.
1-Week Home Trial: For those who prefer to ensure compatibility in their home environment, we offer a one-week trial period. During this time, the adopter can see how the pet adjusts to their home and lifestyle.
5. Finalize Adoption
At the end of the trial period, if everything goes well and both the adopter and animal are happy, the adoption is finalized. Adopters complete the necessary paperwork and make the adoption fee payment.
6. Follow-Up and Support
We provide ongoing support and resources to adopters to ensure a successful transition for the pet into their new home. This includes guidance on pet care, behavior, and any follow-up veterinary care needed.
